The Racial Reconciliation Ministry Team of CBFNC is offering a regional workshop for pastoral and ministry staff or congregational leaders and leadership teams. The gathering is designed to clarify the call to pursue racial reconciliation as the Body of Christ. Questions regarding the biblical and theological foundations for this work will be addressed.

A working definition of racism will be offered as a way to shape our conversation regarding the nature of racism, the ways racism impacts our communities, diminishes our humanity, and impairs the witness of our congregations. Since diagnosis determines treatment, the sessions will conclude with a discussion of concrete strategies and practices to assist ministry engagement in a congregational setting.

Leaders:   Rev. Willard Bass from the Institute for Dismantling Racism and Rev. Nathan Parrish, Pastor of Peace Haven Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
