Is your church looking for a minister (any staff position - pastor, associate, youth, etc)?
We would like to help your search committee in its search for a new minister. There are three services that CBFNC offers:
- Resumes - We compare your needs with the hundreds of resumes we have on file and make what seems to be appropriate matches.
To start this process, send in your completed church profile form (print and mail) or complete our online form (coming soon).
We usually send anywhere from 3 - 20 resumes, chosen based on your church's location, setting and salary and your expectations of the minister's educational background and experience.
Also, CBF National has an online resource called LeaderConnect-CBF. This tool, a resume-matching system (provided at no charge), will greatly enhance the efficiency and capability of their reference and referral service for both church search committees and for candidates at the national level.
- Search Committee orientation/training - We come to your site to meet with the search committee to discuss process, the lay of the land in Baptist life, and other issues.
We have recently created the Interim Ministry Network to help churches during their interim period. Learn more about how CBFNC can be your church's resource during this important time without a pastor.
Also, read It Takes a Village to Find a Pastor, an article from the May/June 2009 newsletter about one search committee's experience with CBFNC.
- Pulpit supply, missions speakers, educational forums - In your church's time of transition, questions will undoubtedly be raised about changes in the Baptist world, the missions and ministries of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the role of the pastor in a Baptist congregation, doctrinal and practical differences between Baptist groups, etc.
We would be pleased to meet with your church and/or key church leaders to discuss these issues. Contact us at 888-822-1944.
This is a very important time in the life of your congregation. The person you select to present to the church will likely guide the church for several years. Please let us know how we can help you as you move through the search process.
