 Heather Potter, Guest Clinician

Heather Wililiams Potter is Artistic Director of the Charlotte Children'sChoir of Community School of the Arts and Director of Traditional Music at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC.  As an active clinician, Dr. Potter frequently conducts treble ensembles for regional and national music conferences, festivals, and honors choirs, and she also provides training sessions and clinics and for children's church choir directors and volunteers. She has trained singers in the middle school, high school, and college classroom, and she has taught music education method courses for undergraduates. Heather has published articles about training young voices and developing choral programs and recently completed the introduction for Of Primary Importance, Volume III.  Dr. Potter holds degrees in music education in choral conducting from Furman University in Greenville, SC, Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. She has completed Level III in the choral music certification course and holds the Choristers Guild Children's Choir Leadership certification. Heather recently served on the national board for Choristers Guild and as its president.
